Satya bags 6 awards at the 44^th Annual Filmfare Awards. Sweeps the Critic's Choice Awards.

At the 44^th Annual Filmfare Awards for 1998 held on Sunday, February 21^st, at the Andheri Sports Complex, Mumbai, Satya bagged 6 awards, 3 of them being a clean sweep of the Critic's Choice Awards for Best Film, Best Actor and Best Actress. The other 3 came in the form of technical category awards.

Following are the details of the awards:

Technical Awards:

Best Sound Recording: H Sridhar

Best Editing: Apurva Asrani and Bhanodaya

Best Background Score: Sandeep Chowta

Critic's Choice Awards:

Best Film: Satya

Best Actor: Manoj Bajpai

Best Actress: Shefali Chhaya

Satya bags three awards at the Screen-Videocon Awards

At the recently held Screen-Videocon Awards, organised jointly by 'Screen Weekly Magazine' and Videocon at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai, Satya bagged 3 awards in the following categories:

Best Supporting Actor: Manoj Bajpai

Best Supporting Actress: Shefali Chhaya

Best Screenplay: Anurag Kashyap and Saurabh Shukla
